New Age Makers Institute of Technology (NAMTECH) announces the launch of the Makers India Fellowship (MIF). The Fellowship envisages bringing together, a select group of highly motivated and brilliant cohort of forty (40) individuals. The Fellows will enroll in NAMTECH’s International Professional Master’s Program in Smart Manufacturing. This Program grooms young learners into change agents by instilling in them, industry-relevant skills and knowledge needed for an Industry 4.0 manufacturing environment. The Fellowship offers them exposure to emerging technologies in smart manufacturing through courses delivered by high-caliber faculty and industry professionals.
The MIF is a fully funded (program fees), year-long, residential, experiential learning program.
The Fellows will gain from experiential learning pathways, designed to maximize learning through unique project-based and learning-by-doing design. The Fellowship will also nurture and hone relevant competencies through these work experiences with the aim to create future leaders in manufacturing.
Through their interactions with well-connected global faculty, speakers and industry professionals, the fellows have access to an exceptional network of people from which they can not only learn but also create academic and business opportunities.
Mentors from diverse segments of the manufacturing ecosystem are part of the MIF landscape. These mentors shall guide the fellows on career possibilities that fulfill their aspirations.
As per industry standards, a smart manufacturing professional is expected to have a deep view of the entire manufacturing process, along with Industry 4.0 technologies. The MIF taps into their current area of expertise and helps them to bloom into well-rounded manufacturing professionals.
Traditional academic courses either offer a pure technical or a pure managerial degree, but the manufacturing landscape demands professionals who are skilled in both domains. The Fellows gain both technical and managerial competencies, thus making them ready for an accelerated career.
NAMTECH’s placement cell facilitates internships and campus placements for the Fellows. The Fellows get assured employment with NAMTECH’s corporate partner manufacturing companies, post successful completion of their course and 12-week internship.
The incubation cell at NAMTECH facilitates mentoring, capacity building, and seed funding for Fellows with entrepreneurial aspirations.
